For the Love of the ARts

I wish for a lot of things. I regret a few. I regret not pursuing my love of art when I was younger. I hope that the last 3 years at the Wichita Center for the Arts has taught Nathan to use art as an escape and expression of himself. I hope that if he finds a deep desire later in life to be artistic he has the confidence and self-freedom to do so. Thanks to Ms. Crystal and Ms. Shannon for loving my boy.

An afternoon on the boat

Eric was off yesterday so we headed to the lake to show the boys the new boat. Eric went out early to get her ready for a sail. We quickly decided that 25-35 MPH winds were way too strong to even attempt to sail. So we just hung out. Then went to the lake playground. We had a great time.

Hoofing It

On Thursday afternoons we have the most awesome opportunity ever. Nathan gets to spend 30 minutes riding his favorite horse, Ittles. Even better, is that he gets to do it with Holly, his very first friend. Here are a few pictures and further evidence of why we homeschool.

I've been reading a new book. Very interesting approach about a Buddhist who home schools. It's really all about finding balance and peace with how we are doing right now. It's Enlightening!

I have all but officially decided to continue this journey for one more year (1st grade). I have promised by old principal at Cottonwood that I would come check out what she can offer Nathan for 1st grade. My secret dream is to be living on a boat and homeschooling while we explore the world of nature. :) I will keep you all posted.
