Junior Paleontologists
We had our first SCIENCE Friends Co-op this morning. The topic this month is dinosaurs and fossils. We had a dig site in the backyard. The kids worked together to excavate all the fossils and then sort and put pieces together. Then we had to research a little to figure out there were real opossum bones in the mix. We made our own trace fossils. Discovered how huge a T-Rex really was and worked as partners to chisel out some other skeletons. The time flew by and the kids seemed to love every minute of it. I didn't really have a chance to take many pictures.

Whidbey Island, Washington
We are in Coupeville, Washington this week. Eric is doing a locum job and we are hanging out. It's a sleeping little town that is right on the ocean. We walk pretty much everywhere and are finding lots of other quiet things to keep us busy.
Nanny and Papa came with us.
This is our rent house.
